I can't get any of the links to work except the Quarrel one which just links to the GDs homepage? If the links worked I'm assuming thier just links back to the site to see stuff I've already seen. I probably spend more time on here than most though so it might be of use to others but not something I'll need I don't think?

I'm not sure about it replacing the newsletter either as I sorta see that as you sending a personal communication to everyone and let's members know what's happened, happening and about to happen and help keep GamerDads on everyones radar, specially people rarely involved and I'm not sure the newspaper thing wil achieve that?

I can get the links to work just fine, but I guess my view is similar to Mac in that it feels like a repeat of the most current stuff on the website, whereas the newsletter acts as a summary and reminds people about stuff they may have forgotten or missed. I also like the personal touch of the newsletter, but appreciate it must take a fair bit of effort to pull it together...

it's shocking that there has been a phone hacking scandal already...
rumour has it that a reporter at the GD Times got the phone records of resident troll dontgoeasyonme and noticed that he made a call to the same number every night after 7pm, but it turns out that he was only calling to order a kebab

IF it's true that the paper only repeats/links to stuff that's already forum then I don't think there will be a great demand for that. I can see why people prefer the newsletter that updates people on recent things. a newspaper won't encourage inactive members who already don't visit the forum to be more involved but the newsletter to their email address might

I think with the paper it's important to get the feeds setup that it pulls this way it keeps it really uptodate with a lot of information

I used paper.li for a while. Newsletter via mailing lists are better IMO.

I would suggest that the "paper" isn't really for regular visitors such as yourselves but for the other 300 members that don't visit regularly. We need to encourage these people to get more involved and from that perspective, the paper is a great tool that should, imho, run alongside the newsletters.
