I've got a strategy guide somewhere for Black Ops multiplayer most methods would transfer across to MW3. I'll dig it out and post some of the tactics from there.

Team Deathmatch/Kill Confirmed

Basic advice the book gives is try not to get killed :-) figure out where the enemy is spawning and defend the routes from it. If you rush too far ahead into the enemy's spawn area you risk them spawning behind you. Advice regarding loadouts is use a longer ranged weapon like assault rifles/LMGs and also suggests that the entire team use Stealth perks and suppressors which will make any air support useless, gunshots don't show up on the map and you're footsteps are practically silent.

Domination

Easiest way to win is hold 2 of the three points and lock the enemy at the third point, preventing them from escaping their spawn area or securing another Domination point.

If we have for example point A and both teams are fighting over point B a small team (1-3 people) should go around the side of the map and take point C.

Unless we're massively losing, never take all 3 points. It makes the enemy's' spawn area unpredictable.

2 suggested loadouts, 1 is "Speed Demon" primarily to attack Domination points

Primary - SMG
Secondary -FMG9 or pistol with knife attachment
Lethal - Something explosive
Tactical - Motion Sensor/Explosive/Trophy System (Willy Pete/C4)

Perks
Extreme Conditioning (Lightweight)
Blast Shield (Steady Aim)
Steady Aim (Marathon)

2nd Setup is "Boomer" it is I think more defensive/general Purpose than the one above

Primary - LMG/Assault Rifle
Secondary - Grenade Launcher

Lethal - Frag/C4/Claymore
Tactical - flash/stun/emp/smoke

Perks
Scavenger
Sleight of Hand
Stalker(Marathon)

These are just the suggested classes from the book I have. As I said in the previous post it is for Black Ops. Some of the equipment and perks are exclusive to Black ops so I have chosen the nearest thing to it that's available on MW3. I have put the original in brackets next to it so if you can see something better to use, tell us.

So to sum up, all we have to do is take 2 Domination points, then defend all routes from the third. Do it from a distance so there isn't too much risk and we should be home and dry.

As regards Killstreaks, Hope used the I.M.S. very well, they also very successfully hit us with predators when we went to take their points. I think you should use whatever killstreaks are achivable for you. No point selecting a 12 kill assault streak if you're never gonna be able to use it. I hope these help, they all look good in theory but it will take a while before we will be able to get them right I guess. I will do the capture the flag section when I get more time, it's a bit more complicated than these.

Useful stuff mate, something we could take into Tuesday nights. I think the only other thing is to communicate more, and stick together more.

I really like the idea of the whole squad going stealth for team deathmatch, I'm sure we've all played against teams who do that, it's confusing to say the least.

Totally agree with you in regard to communication. I'm the worst for not talking while I'm playing, only recently got a headset and it still feels weird, I think I'm just too English!

the killstreak factor is a really good point. sticking with very low killstreaks has a pretty big impact on how the games develop. against HoPE last month i think we all had UAV and counter UAV equipped so at almost every point of each game we knew where they were while remaining invisible on the mini map. throw in a few predators aswell and its a pretty powerful but simple setup.

regarding mic chat, it definately does help in a match but i can totally relate to feeling a little shy lol. i remember when i first got my mic equipped headset and almost felt a bit scared to switch it on . however, having used the mic for a year or two now i usuallly have the opposite problem. i have to focus on not being TO vocal
